The story begins
This is my capstone project for the Systems Designs course, taught by Professor Conway at IESEG. I am deeply grateful to the professor for being an inspiration and helping me understand the importance of systems thinking and the endless creativity that stems from the gifts nature has bestowed upon us.
The assignment required me to design a model for an urban railway system, encompassing both passenger and freight transport, for a major city (imagine it as Paris). Employing an out-of-the-box creative thinking approach, I had to use an image from nature as a metaphor to ensure that the system I designed was seamless and free of logical errors. Additionally, I had to consider other aspects, such as how the agencies within the system interact with each other and with the external environment, and how they respond to various situations, etc.
This project was honored with a perfect score of 20/20 and ranked first among over 190 students in the same cohort! Once again, thank you, Professor Conway, for dedicating so much effort to guiding us and grading this project.
